In the garage, on the job site, at the track, or at the kitchen table going over bills — contentment isn’t about what’s in the bank account or parked in the driveway. It’s about Who’s in control.

Paul knew what it meant to run on empty and to have more than enough. As men and women driven by faith, we know those seasons too. Some days the shop is slammed and the orders are flowing. Other days feel slow, uncertain, tight. Some seasons we’re upgrading parts. Other seasons we’re just trying to keep the engine running.

But our peace isn’t built on horsepower, profit margins, or possessions. It’s built on Christ.

Contentment doesn’t mean complacency.

Prayer
Lord God, teach me to be content in every season of my life and work. When the garage is full and when it’s quiet, when I’m thriving and when I’m stretching every dollar — steady my heart. Let my identity be found in You, not in what I own or produce. Help me stay faithful, humble, and driven by trust in Your provision. Amen.
